Tell Allied Domecq To Get Lost

Sauza Tequila Ad Promotes Reckless Drinking

Help us hold Allied Domecq accountable for this irresponsible ad.  As one of the world’s largest producers of alcohol, Allied Domecq acknowledges that it has considerable responsibilities and claims that it takes enormous care not to encourage excessive drinking.  But this billboard for Sauza Tequila defies both the Allied Domecq Marketing Code and that of the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States by encouraging heavy, irresponsible consumption, suggesting that drinking Sauza will result in nudity, and promoting the use of Sauza Tequila for its sexually disinhibiting effects.

We’ve sent a formal complaint asking Allied Domecq to remove this billboard from our community.  If you’ve seen this ad in your neighborhood, we encourage you to use Talk Back to let Allied Domecq know how you feel about it.

Update!
Following our complaint to the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), Allied Domecq has decided to withdraw this billboard advertisement for its Sauza Tequila.
