Marin Institute Presents 'La Mission'

An Evening Honoring Peter and Benjamin Bratt
at Fort Mason Center's Cowell Theatre
on June 24, 2010

Come meet the director, Peter Bratt, and stars of "La Mission," as Marin Institute hosts a special benefit screening of this new movie on Thursday, June 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at the Cowell Theatre in San Francisco. Tickets are $50 per person, with reserved seating.

"La Mission" was written and directed by Peter Bratt and stars his brother, Benjamin Bratt, as "Che," a proud man struggling to accept a changing society. Filmed in San Francisco's Mission district, the movie shows the true harm that alcohol and violence play in our communities.

The Evening's Events
    6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. - Reception
  • Hors d'oeuvres served and entertainment by Lamott Atkins and the 22nd Street Band
  • Dance performance by Mixcoatl-Anahuac Aztec Dancers
  • Display of select lowrider cars from the Boulevard Kings Car Club
    6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Screening of "La Mission"
    8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - Award Presentation
  • Marin Institute honors the brothers with an "Inspirational Media Leadership" award
  • A live Q&A session with director and stars, moderated by Senator Mark Leno
