…to Shape magazine for publicizing the potential alcohol-breast cancer connection to their national readership in a recent issue. Under the banner “Think Healthy,” Shape reported that studies on the high rate of breast cancer in Marin County identified “having two or more alcoholic drinks daily” as a risk factor for the disease. Note to Shape's editor: too bad the image you chose (see left) sends a pro-drinking message.

 


Seventeen percent of Marin adult survey respondents reported binge drinking (five or more drinks on the same occasion) in the past month.
