The programs listed below provide excellent opportunities for young people and adults to work together in environmental Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) prevention. These organizations also promote social change in the fields of youth development, violence prevention, school reform, and youth civic engagement.

Youth Leadership Institute's (YLI) Friday Night Live (FNL) Partnerships
Part of a statewide network of FNL partnerships, YLI's Friday Night Live and Club Live programs engage youth in examining the social and environmental messages that support substance use and in developing policy solutions to community issues. Youth participants organize and implement projects designed to have a sustained community impact. YLI operates FNL partnerships in San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo counties. Huckleberry Youth Programs (HYP)
HYP is a community-based youth agency, providing critical and effective services to homeless, runaway and other at-risk youth in San Francisco and Marin counties through seven distinct but interrelated programs. Among them are HYP's Teen Health Program, a comprehensive health promotion and youth development program serving Marin County youth ages 12-21.

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR)
BACR promotes the healthy development of individuals, families & communities through a wide variety of prevention, development, education, intervention and referral services. BACR's community health programs address social and health challenges by educating community youth, leaders, media and other groups.

Coleman Advocates for Youth, Youth Making A Change (YMAC) YMAC is a diverse, energetic group of 15 youth who advocate for other young people throughout San Francisco, particularly around the issues of juvenile justice, education, and youth space. YMAC is a project of Coleman Advocates, a child advocacy organization working to improve the life of San Francisco's children, youth and their families.

Alcohol Policy Network (APN), Youth Prevention Project APN's Youth Prevention Project is a youth-driven environmental prevention and advocacy project that helps teens in Oakland and Hayward identify problems in their neighborhoods, create strategies and campaigns for change, and take action to reduce the risks of alcohol and other drugs.

California Friday Night Live Partnership (CFNLP)
CFNLP builds partnerships for positive and healthy youth development that engage youth as active leaders and resources in their communities. CFNLP supports 54 California counties in their youth development and prevention efforts, providing training, resources, and networking opportunities.

Community Partnerships with Youth, Inc. (CPY)
CPY is a national training and resource development organization dedicated to promoting active citizenship through youth and adult partnerships. CPY provides trainings, technical assistance, conferences, and other learning opportunities to interested parties.

Center for Youth As Resources (YAR)
Community-based Youth As Resources programs, governed by a board of youth and adults, provide grants to young people to design and carry out service projects. The youth and adult board members work in partnership to solicit and evaluate project proposals from local youth. Young people in neighborhood centers, youth organizations, community foundations, classrooms, and clubs design projects to address social issues that concern them.

EHealth4Teens.org
EHealth4Teens.org is a health website that promotes healthy lifestyle choices for teenagers. Created by area high school students and the staff of the Multnomah County Health Department School-Based Health Center Program in Portland, Oregon, EH4T provides resources on health topics, local activities and referral lines to address the health care needs of Multnomah County’s most vulnerable youth. The program's Web site features interactive games, quizzes, personal health assessments and other services.
